Occasionally, it is helpful to view some data on a card rather than having to search the database for this data.

For a number of customers, we have been asked to place a “Last Contact” date field on the Account Card.  This field needs to be updated as Activities (such as callbacks or visits) have been made in the software through workflow requests being completed.

For this particular example, we have created a free field on an Account Card and use the Event Manager to look at a particular type of workflow request.  When the Event Manager finds a new workflow request of that type, a new date is entered using a SQL command.  This keeps the field on the Account Card automatically updated.
