I am developing some tools for organizations that use Sales Opportunities and need some feedback from Synergy Users.

Are you creating a Sales Opportunity when a sales person starts discussions with an account (Customer or Prospect) or when a Quote is created?  I would sure appreciate your feedback.  Our development team is working on two tools that will work with Opportunities:

1.  Auto create a Sales Opportunity when a new quote is created in your back office solution, such as Exact Macola EM10.

2.  Allow Sales Opportunites to be entered from information within an Excel Spreadsheet, such as a listing from a direct mail campaign or a trade show.
