For organizations that use the Synergy Opportunities functionality, there is a good report that can be found at Customers / Reports / Opportunity Management / Sales Funnel.  This Funnel Report allows an organization to sort by the different sales cycles that a firm may choose to create and use.

There a quite a few fields to filter for this report, such as Competitors or Sources.  The resultant funnel can display a count of the opportunities or the different amounts (Expected, Planned or Realized).  Clicking on information in the funnel will get you to the opportunity / opportunities that fit your search criteria.

A Sales Manager can simply look at this report and determine the pipeline of the entire organization or view selectively at a single Resource that is managing the opportunity.  No more requesting this data from your sales staff.
