Symbol-AddUtilizing this application, 130 additional Free Fields have been created for use in Synergy Enterprise Sales Opportunities.

Many of the Free Fields in Synergy Enterprise have been increased to a total of 50, with the exception of the Large Comment Fields. These have been increased them to a total of 20. The Free Text Fields has been expanded with an additional 50 with our tool and then standard Synergy out-of-the-box 15 standard Synergy fields to make a total of 65 free text fields available. We have added 25 Attachment Fields to this tool, which will allow separate sections by different roles or resources to group documents together.

Our free fields work (and look) identical to Synergy standard request fields. When adding them to a workflow request, you insert them in the same process.

Labels and display options during the various statuses can also be modified by the builder of the request, just like any other field.

One major difference is the ability to use the “Freeze” functionality in our Comment fields. In standard Synergy, using this functionality in a “Multiple Type Request” is not allowed. Our ten additional Comment Fields all permit the use of the “Freeze” function allowing no previous information entered to be modified or deleted.

A new enhancement includes the ability to place the comments that have been frozen either above or below the entry for new notes. When defining the request, you may also have notes sorted on the screen for viewing by latest to earliest or as in standard Synergy (earliest to latest).

You may have seen other tools that can be used to increase the number of free fields. Check to make sure that the Mandatory Flag can be set on the new free fields. Or that a new Free Yes / No field can be set as a default to “Yes.”

These fields in other created customizations, you will find that the fields are generally not available to be used within standard Synergy workflow searches or Pivot Analysis views. In our tool, they can be used in both with no additional modifications.

The fields are created in an separate SQL table which may be linked together with the Absences table. You may create reports through Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports or use the Event Manager to trigger other actions.

This tool may may be used with any of our other tool offerings. Cost for this enhancement is $955. Maintenance of $175 per year. We will include 60 minutes of training / installation assistance with this tool.

Installation by your staff should take approximately 10 minutes. A Manual is included will provide guidance with the self-install process and training of staff with this new functionality. Delivery of this tool will take approximately 7 business days.

Additional free fields can be added to this tool for customers requiring even more, with an additional cost.

At the present time. these additional fields may not be built into the Exact Event Manager (or KnowledgeSync Event Manager using their standard process. Workflow requests may be built using SQL commands using these fields. This is due to an outstanding bug that ESE developers have with all free fields built by external developers or internal Exact Consultants.

This tool requires the addition of the Exact Role – “Enabling Add-On Solutions” for any Resource that is Viewing, Editing or a Participant in a Workflow Request that will be using this functionality. This Role is available at a small cost from Exact Software, and is licensed by individual users. This Role is required for many of our tools and custom applications described on this website.
